The Show I Would Curate, If I Curated

If someone approached me today with the opportunity to curate a group exhibition of works on paper, I would put together a show that focuses on representations of the female body by early-to-mid-career women artists. I have been seeing a lot of interesting work lately that falls into this category, and I think it would be thought-provoking to bring some of it together.

Off the top of my head, here are some of the artists (in alphabetical order) who I would include in the show:

But perhaps I’m too late. Four of these seven had work in a show I saw this weekend at The Aldrich. It was one of the best museum group exhibitions I’ve seen this year. I’ll have a review tomorrow.
